Illuminate New Jersey

You can be part of the Color & Light festival!

Our team of artists come from around the globe with their visions of bringing the beautiful architecture of the Convention Hall to life.  But we know that Asbury Park has a vibrant arts community that can create art that can excite and inspire. For this year’s Special World Cup Edition of Color & Light, we want to find those artists and introduce them to projection mapping – artwork that animates features of a building and opens the door to inventive reinterpretation of the building architecture.

This community-inspired initiative welcomes local artists to contribute their creativity for showing during the festival. We provide the scale drawing of the building outline for you to unleash your imagination. We’ll incorporate it into the event by projecting it full size onto the building, creating an immersive gallery that bridges the gap between traditional and digital art. This transformative project breathes new life into familiar structures, embodying the spirit and talent of the Asbury Park community.

This is a competitive exhibit. Not all artwork will be shown. Artists are selected on the basis of how effectively they use the architectural features of the building in their design among other criteria.

Artwork must be submitted by midnight on July 7, 2026.

We are requesting all artwork digitally. Please download the building template and email it to shawn@polyone.io when finished.

If you work only on canvas, a stretched canvas template is available upon request. We will take a high resolution scan of your artwork. Please contact shawn@polyone.io to request a canvas.
