Color & Light aims to elevate Web3 and digital creators of all disciplines, introducing groundbreaking artists and revolutionary technologies to the public. We hope to expand the audience for Web3 creators and educate spectators about the peer-to-peer power and human connections created by blockchain.
The festival is a fundraiser for environmental and social charities through our partnership with The Giving Block – blockchain’s largest and most reputable giving platform. Participating creators are asked to donate a portion of proceeds from the sale of their works. We believe that if creators from around our world stand together, we can change the narrative and have a tremendous collective impact. (See FAQs)
We thank you in advance for your submissions.

Creative Coders: We’re enormous fans of creative coders and are exploring ways to include creative coding through collaboration with other platforms, but don’t have the ability to mint creative coding artworks at this time. If you have a brilliant creative coding idea and how to execute it, reach out to us and please check back with us as our capabilities might change.
AI Artists: We accept AI art, and find the potential of AI creativity exciting, however, if you submit AI generated artworks, you will need to demonstrate a deep level of personal artistry and vision in your use of AI.
PFP Art: We love PFP art and the strong communities they create. However, given the nature of the festival we find it challenging to present PFP collections unless they’re a PolyOne Global Impact Collection. If you’re interested in creating a PolyOne Global Impact Collection now, or at any time, please reach out to us regarding collaboration. But PFP’s outside our Global Impact Collections will unfortunately not be featured in the festival this year.
Is there a theme to the Color & Light Festival that I should consider in my submissions?
We don’t believe in interfering with the creative process! We’re a festival Of Creators, By Creators, For Creators, their fans and the public. Create what moves you.
It’s YOU we want to see through your art.
What we don’t accept: Color & Light festival is fully inclusive and family friendly. We will not accept works that are racist or prejudiced, display nudity or are sexually explicit, display profanity or hate terms/symbolism, or are politically or otherwise divisive. Our objective is unification, not division.
How many artworks can I submit?
Can I submit a collaborative artwork?
I’ve never created an NFT, but I’m curious, can I still participate?
I’m a local artist/artisan, but I’m not a digital artist, can I still be part of the festival?
You say this is a fundraiser. What exactly does that mean?
Great question.
- PolyOne’s mission is to harness the power of blockchain technology and the creator economy for the greater good. Everything that we do as a platform keeps that mission in mind, including the Color & Light Festival. PolyOne will not take any proceeds from your NFT artworks listed as part of the Color & Light Festival. Zero.
- In partnership with The Giving Block, we will select extremely reputable environmental and social charities to benefit. We will clearly publicize which charities will benefit from proceeds, and all creators and the public can independently verify that. Proceeds will go directly into the wallets of those charities and will never pass through PolyOne’s hands, all of which can be tracked on the blockchain.
- If you wish to donate an artwork(s) with all proceeds benefiting the charities, that would be incredibly generous and deeply appreciated. However, we truly appreciate that artists make their living through their art. With that in mind, we ask that all creators agree to split their proceeds with the causes we’re championing. 50/50. You can also choose to do both. If you submit more than one work – you can choose to fully donate one or more works, and split the proceeds of other works that you submit. It’s your choice. We will coordinate with you in all cases.
We’re profoundly grateful to all artists in advance. We will publicly announce our appreciation, both during the festival and to all media outlets. All creators will be listed in our press releases to highlight their generous contribution.
Our team will work with you on pricing your works so that they’re affordable to the general public to help us succeed in our goals of introducing new audiences to digital art as well as raising funds for the causes we champion.
Why do you ask what country we’re from?
We’re champions of the peer-to-peer decentralized power that blockchain technology offers to creators and their fans. Creators have the unique ability to reach across borders and into the hearts and minds of people across our world and deepen our collective understanding. Color & Light hopes to raise funds for environmental and social causes that affect our planet and our humanity.
We will display your country of origin. We believe it’s extremely valuable to display to our audience and the public that creators from around the world have chosen to stand together to call attention to environmental and social matters that affect us all. As One World. It’s part of PolyOne’s mission.
PolyOne means “Of Many, One.”
What Blockchain Protocol will our works be listed on and which contract types?
Will I receive royalties if my works re-sell?
Creators will have the ability to receive up to 9.5% of royalties from the re-sale of any of their artworks. It will be up to you as the creator if you choose to share a percentage of your secondary sale royalties with the charities or not. We will walk you through that process.
Are my works guaranteed to sell during Color & Light?
